Yesterday was Jack Kirby’s birthday. I spent it recording a new episode of Ghost Maps with Kyle, then sending in a submission – with my buddy, Abs Goh – for a new comics anthology. (Fingers crossed!)
I can’t find the exact quote, but I remember it was either Kirby himself or someone quoting Kirby as saying something along the lines of, “Don’t be the next Jack Kirby, be the first you.” So, yeah, I think I did a decent job of honouring the King of Comics.
