Deep Diving with the Diva

Red Dot Diva is my favourite Singaporean geek-centric blogger. Her general enthusiasm is the perfect antidote to the gatekeeping snark that seems to plague way too many corners of the superhero, sci-fi and fantasy fandoms.

Which is why I’m so excited to be appearing on her Red Dot Diva Live show again, this time with Jannah, to talk about Worlds Apart.

The show’ll be live-streamed on 23 July across the Diva’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages, so be sure to…

On a non-promotional note, I mentioned in a previous post that I wanted to get into Lego again. I was initially hoping to be a proud owner of that massive Daily Bugle set, but at nearly five hundred bucks, I figured that maybe I should start with something a little more affordable.

I didn’t want one of the smaller sets though. Those seem nice enough, but I thought that maybe my first Lego in years called for build that had some… panache to it. So, I was browsing the Bricks World website – when I came across this bad boy.

I had a wonderful hour of putting this together yesterday and, as you can clearly see, it’s looking awfully snazzy on my shelf, next to the record player right now. (My favourite little detail? The Joker figure even has Caesar Romero’s little moustache.) Definitely getting more Lego, probably as a reward for myself when we launch Work-Life Balance and Internal Damnation. (I’m eyeing either Darth Vader’s meditation chamber or the Vespa right now.)
